Brent was a loving dedicated husband and father who adored his family to the highest degree. As a
military officer, he was a consummate professional who always led by example and was revered by his
peers and leaders alike. His loss is devastating to his family, Army Aviation, and to our country.
His family and I are proud to have had him in our lives and he will forever remain deep in our
hearts.

The young man we called "son"

Brent is my children's best friend & has been throughout the past 38 years. David & Danni Davis loved Brent & Vanessa and Jack & Helen. My husband & I (Donna & Davie Davis) were blessed that he called us "his other parents". Brent would light up a room as soon as he entered. His smile was bigger than life. We have more memories about his days with us than we can put into words.
He was a devoted friend just as he was a spectacular husband, father and son. He always told his friends Chip, Dave & Jeff how much he cared for them. The four guys had a bond that very few people can achieve and maintain throughout the years.
At last meeting with Brent & Vanessa at his 20th class reunion we got to speak with them at length and will cherish those memories forever. We are so proud of Brent for his commitment to this country. He was a true soldier.

He remains in our hearts and his family in our prayers. He will rest in peace.

During this particular Memorial Day I have asked myself...and I encourage you to do the same..."As an American citizen...are our lives and the way we live them worth dying for?" I will spend the rest of my life remembering that a great man, an honorable soldier, an American hero, INCREDIBLE father and husband gave his life for the safety and security of our families in this great nation. Thank you CW3 Brent Scott Cole for paying the ultimate price for my family. Darren and I vow to always be there for Vanessa and Carson...We will never forget. And I will also remember to laugh, smile and enjoy life as you always did...with AMERICAN food and AMERICAN beer! I know you wouldn't have it any other way. God speed now Brent.
We love you Vanessa and Carson...for now...for always.

Our Heart is heavy as we try to put into writing the feelings we have for such a fine young man who has gone much to soon. If you were to ask Brent if he was going into any kind of danger he would give you that wonderful beautiful smile and say No I will be just fine. We loved Brent and have so many wonderful memories that we will cherish and share with one another for years to come. My love and condolences to Vancessa, Carson and his parents Helen, and Jack,

Brent was simply the most honorable, moral, and dedicated man that I have ever known. He was my family but more to the point, he was my friend. I truly believe that I have never admired a man as much as Brent as his devotion to his family, friends, and country stands as a beacon for those who had the privilege to know and love him. Although he was called to Heaven far too soon, the imprint that has made on me and those who knew him will last a life time. May God comfort Vanessa, Carson, and his parents during this difficult time.

The stars are twinkling oh so bright
Up in heaven on this beautiful night.
The moon is shining, the air is clear
I feel you close and have no fear.

The cool summer breeze blows gently by
as my eyes look up into the beautiful sky.
The brightest star in heaven above
is looking down saying it's me my love.

I feel so peaceful and the air is calm
and the breeze is you brushing on my arm.
So please give me another sign my love
From those beautiful heavens up above.

A True Warrior and fine man.

Brent Cole was a friend and colleague of mine and was one of the very best I had the privilege of working with. He will be revered and sorely missed, taken away from this world defending his country and our way of life. All who knew him gravitated toward his even keel and kind nature. He truly understood the art of his work and conveyed his knowledge in such a warm way that you always learned from him and knew in your heart that he cared for your safety and survival in such an inherently dangerous profession. Above all, he was the silent professional that gave his heart and soul to his wife, his children and his profession. I felt privileged to meet Brent Cole, and it was the greatest honor to ever have served with a fine Longbow Pilot, Husband, Father and Friend that he was. My deepest sympathies and prayers are with Brent's family. --Cliff Anders (a former Whitewolf 6 and member of the Wolfpack)

From LTC Jernigan, the Commander of Task Force Wolfpack:

"CW4 Brent Cole was the finest Army Aviator that I have served with in over 20 years of Aviation service. He was a combat proven Warrior, a loving
husband and father, and a great hero who was dedicated to serving his country. As an AH-64D Apache Attack Helicopter Instructor Pilot and Aviation
Safety Officer, CW4 Cole always led by example, ensuring that the pilots in his company were fully-trained, mission-ready, and able to execute all
attack aviation mission tasks to the standard. CW4 Cole's achievements in flight, calm demeanor and mission focused execution of all tasks assigned to
him were a testament to his technical and tactical skills. Brent loved what he was doing and the soldiers with whom he served loved him. This tragedy
has taken this great All American soldier from his family and his friends. Words cannot express how sorry we are about this tremendous loss and how
much Brent's death has and will continue to impact those of us in Task Force
Wolfpack."
